What is Celtic Wicca

Merry Meet!

Celtic Wicca is one of the many branches of Wicca that is on the huge tree. Despite historians discounting Celtic Wicca it's considered a valid form of Wicca by those that practice it and those that respect that some traditions of Wicca might not be agreed on by people with higher learning. Celtic Wicca honors the Celtic gods and goddess within the context of God and Goddess. There really aren't a lot of books written about Celtic Wicca.

D. J Conway wrote a book called Celtic Magic, which was the first Celtic Wiccan book published. Another book called 'Celtic Wicca' has been published. I forgot the name of the author. Over time more and more books will be published by those that do practice Celtic Wicca and thus more information will be out there. We celebrate the Eight seasonal Sabbaths and honor the cycles of the earth and the seasons.

Circle casting is part of it along with the four elemental representations. In a nutshell it's Wicca with Celtic deities, though your not bound to follow a certain section of Celtic deities unlike in CR (Celtic Reconstructionism). Celtic Wicca uses the same tools that you find in regular forms of Wicca. I do hope that this helps someone out.

Blessed Be!
